How to set up your round robin
- Type or paste the names, one per line. Commas work too, and duplicates are removed.
- Pick the format: rotating partners, fixed partners or singles.
- Set how many courts you have and how many rounds you want to play.
- Press Generate. Do not like the draw? Shuffle makes a new one with the same fairness rules.
- Enter scores as games finish. The standings update on their own.
What makes the schedule fair
Partners rarely repeat. Every round is chosen to avoid pairing people who have already played together, and then to avoid repeat opponents. With 8 players on 2 courts, 7 rounds give everyone a different partner every time.
Sit-outs are shared. When the numbers do not divide by four, the players who have rested least rest next, and nobody sits out twice in a row if it can be avoided.
The same link gives the same draw. The schedule comes from a fixed seed, so the link you share opens exactly the same rounds on every phone instead of a new random draw.
Formats, and when to use each
Rotating partners is the default for open play and club socials: it mixes levels and nobody is stuck with the same partner all night. Rank players individually.
Fixed partners suits leagues and couples nights where teams signed up together. Type partners next to each other in the list.

Questions people ask
How does a pickleball round robin work?
Every player or team plays a set number of short games against different opponents, and the results are added up at the end. In the most common club format, rotating partners, you get a new partner every round, so everyone plays with and against as many people as possible.
How many rounds should a round robin have?
For rotating partners, one fewer round than the number of players lets everyone partner with everyone once, but most groups play 6 to 8 rounds of games to 11 in about two hours. For fixed teams or singles, the full round robin takes one round per opponent, and the generator tells you how many that is.
What happens with an odd number of players?
Some players sit out each round. The generator always rests whoever has rested least so far and avoids anyone sitting out two rounds in a row. With 9 players on 2 courts, one person sits out per round and all 9 rest exactly once in 9 rounds.
How do you score and rank a round robin?
Enter both scores for each game. Standings rank by games won, then by point difference, then by points scored. In rotating partners each player is ranked individually, since the partner changes every round.
How many players do you need for a pickleball round robin?
Four for rotating partners, six for fixed doubles teams (three teams) and three for singles. There is no real upper limit other than courts: each court holds four doubles players per round.
Can I share the schedule with the group?
Yes. The share button creates a link that contains the whole schedule and any scores you have entered, so everyone can open the same draw on their own phone. Nothing is stored on a server and nobody needs an account.
